Great column as usual.

Is the "tetsubo" link supposed to link to a wikipedia article about a city in Utah?

I guess most people haven't heard of this, much less Antarctic Press.

Sounds like an interesting manga. I'm always up for giant monster stories.

Although Antarctic Press is still plugging away, releasing comics!.... But it's true that they've totally parted ways with the translated manga scene, and now they're just a "somewhere between indy and superhero" American comics publisher. Way back around 2003-2004, when the manga boom was in full swing, they issued a press release saying they were going to go back and release some new manga again, but it never actually happened; I wonder if they looked at the numbers and said "Never mind" or if there was some other behind-the-scenes sneakery involved.

Also -- sorry about the broken link for "Tetsubo"! Mea culpa! I was trying to link to the wikipedia for Kanabô (aka Tetsubo) weapons, but it looks like it linked elsewhere instead. I've sent ANN a note to fix it.

The "Vaisravana" link is also broken—it's missing a couple of letters. Anime smile + sweatdrop

Edit: I liked Warrior Nun Areala, at least when Ben Dunn was writing it, though unfortunately he soon skipped off to other matters.

Not really that interested in the manga, but thanks for the link about the ninja book. I must have that book!

Hiraga Gennai was also one of the evil clones in Read or Die, remember?
