Man o' man my fav director would, without a doubt, have to be Hideyaki Anno. If for nothing else than Kare Kano and Evangelion.

Oh God, so many to chose from, but I have to go with the director of my favorite series (Neon Genesis Evangelion), and that of course is Hideaki Anno.

But I also have to mention Shinichiro Watanabe and Hayao Miyazaki.
