It just means they'll do a better job on it. When artists are forced to meet deadlines, you get Spirited Away.

What do you mean? "Spirited Away" is an amazing and wonderful film Very Happy ! Now if any of you saw the special that was included on one of the dvds that came with "Spirited Away", you'll know that it isn't the first time they've fallen behind schedule. It looked like they'll have to delay "Spirited Away" too but by working extra hard they were able to deliever movie on time. This delay will probably cost them a lot of money. Unfortinately, Hayao Miyazaki isn't a young man anymore and it's hard for him to work on such huge projects. I hope that everything goes well and they'll compleate the movie in time for it's November premiere. I can't wait to see it.

So, I guess that means that The Incredibles, Polar Express, Shark Tale (formerly Sharkslayer before Dreamworks toned it down to PG), and Shrek 2 all have one less Best Animated Feature contender to worry about at the 2005 Oscars, eh?

(I'm presuming the Disney studio's Sweating Bullets... erm, I mean Home on the Range, while it looks like a lot of goofy Looney Tunes-esque fun, won't be Oscar-calibre material, but, then again, I liked Lilo & Stitch better than Spirited Away, and still do, so who knows?)

Man that sucks. But with Porco Rosso and Nausicaa supposedly coming to dvd next year, I think I'll be ok.

Heh, its not like Howl would have been released in North America on DVD in 2004 anyways. Hell, a Ghibli film released in theatres in June 2004 wouldn't be released on DVD in Japan in 2004.

As it stands I suspect we'll probably see Howl on DVD in late 2005 or 2006.
