I was just watching Claymore episode 8...when Teresa is fighting the four other Claymores because she has a bounty on her head. Ok, the first time they fight in the town, she spare's them which I find ok because she's showing honor and mercy. But the second time, when she's fighting the really good young Claymore again...she's about to kill her...hesitates.....which gives the chick time to kill Teresa by slicing her head off. This really got me annoyed. Why would you not kill the chick? She will be better then you in a few years so why wouldn't you kill her before she becomes a huge threat to you? And if you don't kill them, they will keep on coming which will totally ruin Teresa and Clare's chances at living peacefully. I liked Teresa's character and I am really annoyed she died so stupidly.

Any and every bad ending qualifies as such. This is particular for any that have been good -- all the way up to the very last episode. Ugh -- way to ruin it.

Okay...
That part that isnt covered is a fair bit of a spoiler, so I can only imagine what was in the actual spoiler tag. Also I assume by the title that this isnt a topic just for people have seen Claymore, so maybe you ought to edit this so those of us who dont want to spoil Claymore can know what its about too.

I finished School Rumble Nigakki today and one of the things that almost made me stop watching was the entire episode devoted to Mahou Shoujo Magical Mai. I like my random comedy as much as the next guy, actually probably more than the next guy, but there is a difference between random and ridiculous. That episode and about 3 or 4 other long scenes or mini episodes throughout the season really annoyed the heck out of me. I mean there are shows that can pull off going on a complete tangent with minor characters at any point but it doesn't work with School Rumble with how one gets so vested in the main characters.
I still rated the show "very good" over all but that is just because School Rumble is great when it is School Rumble and not trying to fly in another dimension. Basically, the good outweighs the bad but it almost doesn't.

Philosophy almost always ruins an anime for me. I hate it especially when 2 characters spend 10 minutes spouting narrow minded, simple-view-of-the-world philosophical points of view at each other. I also hate it when some characters explain for 10 minutes some wacky theory about existence, the meaning of life, or religion. While i don't mind themes touching upon these ideas, lecture-like scenes are kind of pretentious.

If it can be done well, it doesn't bother me. What I hate are the ridiculous cliched hero philosophies on why he's sticking with it to the end despite the cost to save the girl or world or what ever.

Not exactly a moment in anime per say, but the repeated airings of Cowboy Bebop by Adult Swim pretty much wrecked my love of the series.
I don't want to watch the same damn series over and over again. It's not Tom and Jerry, which has maybe what, 100+ episodes in it's library? Cowboy Bebop has 26 episodes and a movie. Air it a couple times, throw it off the schedule for a three-quarters-year, and then bring it back for a limited run. Not air it for 4 months straight, stop for 3 months, and then reair it again for 4 months straight!!

can you be a little bit more specific and explain the title. Claymoreas for the moment Teresa died. i personally thought it was one of the most magnificent scenes ever conceived. while i did like Teresa very much, it did show more realistic death and absolutely got a big reaction out of the fans. i remember watching that scene and all the blood rushed to my head, and remembering what the hell just happened?! it took me a while for it to sink in after Teresa just got her hands severed and decapitated all of a sudden. im more surprised at the fact they got such a big reaction out of me.

The ending to My-Hime.
The last episode of Kanon(2006). Couldn't they have her die or wake up? She wakes up in the game, so shouldn't she wake up here? Ugh. I wish they'ed ended the series after ep 25.

The said scene in Claymore didn't wreck it for me. I felt that the series didn't even kick off until episode 8. The death of any liked character can be upsetting, but Claymore becomes much more awesome after that scene It's the best thing I've watched this year.
Around the same time in Gurren Lagann, Gainax kills off the main character. Simon is supposed to be the main character, but he is far less interesting that Kamina. The rest of the series just hasn't been as fun to watch.
I wouldn't say any endings have ruined an anime for me. If there's anything I dislike about anime endings, it's those that are predictable. The best and most memorable endings are the ones that leave you with some unanswered questions or a handful of emotions.

The ending of Eureka Seven just totally killed it for me.Wtf is with all the rainbows and light? It's like watching Care Bears. It totally does not go in sync with the general tone of the entire series.

The same with EVA and Elfen Lied. But that is the way some of these go especially if there is a running manga that carries on from where the anime left off. I was also disappointed at the way the third Tenchi OVA ended as well. it was like "WTF? That can't be it? They're having a laugh! This is just bolocks."

To be fair Mohawk, the end of the 3rd Tenchi OAV is hardly the end of the series, just the end of that particular story arc.
Unfortunately, with Kajishima off working on Saint Knight's Tale (a story based on Tenchi's younger 1/2 brother), I don't think we'll be seeing OAV4 for a few years yet.

And he's not getting any younger either. Saint Knight Tales? I hope it's not yet another harem jaunt round galaxy park.

This one is shared by many others and greatly debated, but Death Note: when L dies. I just feel that the series really loses its momentum when this happens, though to be fair I feel that this downfall started at the Yotsuba arc. But still, the spoiler event really marks a moment when a lot of the audience who once loved the series, myself included, just really loses interest. Without the L vs Light dynamic, and I don't feel that Mello and Near come anywhere close to replacing L and really just feel like cheap imitations I just don't care.
Edited for a spoiler cut that didn't work, sorry!
