Well, new Votoms, new Macross, Gundam 00 ain't bad, and MS Igloo is a lot more satisfying than I thought it would be. Plus I still own last year's Mellowlink reissue.
It's official, I can declare it 1983 again.

April!? So, what was this first episode?
Well, isn't that a tease? Releasing one episode -- and watch how the market responds to it. Not a bad idea, I suppose.

the 1st ep is a 25th anniversary thing...
2007 was 25 years after SDF
2008 would be 26 years...

Strictly speaking, the 25th anniversary is still going on, since SDF Macross ran from 1982 to 1983. That's probably why the Radio Macross web link and the Macross Frontier website both sport The 25th Anniversary Macross logo.

I was making it clear for Wiki.
In any case, better to be offset by a year for an anniversary and make a good product -- rather than be on the anniversary year with a bad product.

Well since the anniversary is still technically going on i guess it is not very offset. But i would agree that it is better to release something good later in the anniversary period than something that has been rushed in to production at the very start of the period.
The show sounds like it would be interesting. And showing an early cut of the show was sensible to bring both positive reviews and instal a potential viewer base.
