So, will this apply to Canadian and UK retailers? Or will that just set it off of whack?

Those are a part of our "To-do" list for this feature.

I'd say just list everywhere on www.dvdpricesearch.com although I can't see myself using this feature too much since dvdpricesearch already exists...

yeah. it seems like the following dvd sellers could be added:

cduniverse.com
overstock.com
bestprices.com
dvdsoon.com
dvdboxoffice.com
playcentric.com
deepdiscountdvd.com
digitaleyes.net

and then there's places like amazon.co.uk and such for the R2 PAL releases, and so forth. hmm... and amazon.co.jp and cdjapan.co.jp support for the R2 NTSC'ers... hmm. :)

Some of those things will be coming in the future, naturally. We just wanted to make sure that the script was working properly (beyond what we could test) and to begin filling out the database with links.

PSST: Tempest, do referral links submitted to the DB count towards the encyclopedia contributions? :)

DVDpricesearch.com is what I use as well.. One missing thing on their site is hentai, for whatever reason. Fivestarvdvd.com is fairly cheap for hentai and would make your search engine unique.. As far as digitaleyes not having an affiliate program, that may be the case but somehow they're involved with dvdpricesearch, so they must be willing to participate in some of these sort of things..The sites that tend to be cheapest when I'm buying my anime (using dvdpricesearch) are digital eyes, buy.com, and deepdiscountdvd.

DEFINITELY deepdiscountdvd.com!!!

And, yes, I, too, already use dvdpricesearch.com as well as bestvideobuys.com and pricegrabber.com.

Sweet feature. Are there any manga releases in the database? I mean, do you track them at all? I didn't see any... Sad

But doesn't that depend on the speed of delivery, the wieght of the order (you might end up getting 2 or 3 dvds at once) and where it is going? It seems too unpredictable to keep track of.

Future feature. We were hoping to have that in the launch of the feature, but it wasn't possible to get it done in time and I really wanted to press ahead and launch the feature.

So in a way you could call this version 0.5 ... it's not really beta, we've done the bug testing and what not, but it's not complete in terms of features.

This is more an issue with the release database than the price compare portion of it. Right now there are no manga in the database because its not really set up for them. We'll be adding manga soon enough and they'll be included in the price compare right off the bat.

They have some sort of arrangement with AoD, so you might be able to work something out if you contact them.

www.[This URL is a known Bootlegging website] Has great prices for Funimation DVDs and NUTech (hentai) titles. This also a great place to buy manga also.

I realize that they also sell a lot of HK dvds, but I don't think that should hinder them from being on the list for R1 releases as Anime Castle is already part of the feature.
