How is anime ran on TV in Japan? Some anime, even some that are like 26 episodes long, show naked girl and panty shots all the time. Also, boobs are shown all the time with nipples showing. Are these types of anime normal for regular TV broadcast or maybe just certain cable channels? Like in the US, alot of this stuff would probably be too graphic, even for a regular cable channel. Thanks. I ask this now because I started watching Girls Bravo,...and I just can't see how this would actually be aired on tv..

I've never been to Japan, but this question does not need someone who actually has that experience in order to answer.
According to Wikipedia Japan, the first season (first 11 episodes of US release) was censored by Fuji TV, and the second season (the remaining 13 episodes) was aired on WOWOW with "15 and up" requirement. Most fan-service shows with boobs, pants, and whatnot, are scheduled at late night, usually beyond midnight. |
