How can I hide an image in a spoiler?

Is there a trick to hiding an image using spoiler tags, or is it simply not possible the way that ANN forums are configured? This coding usually seems to work fine on other forums (replaced brackets with parentheses)

(spoiler)(URL=http://imageshack.us)(IMG)http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/4963/mgsp04ag2.jpg(/IMG)(/URL)(/spoiler)

But, as you can see, the results are not what I was hoping for.

Not a huge issue, since I can always post a link instead, but it would be nice to be able to do this if possible.
