Hi, can someone tell me what the 'sentbox' is under the private messaging system?

If I submitted my pm and then it's in my 'outbox', is that sufficient?
The sentbox thingie is confusing me - is there a further step I must take to send the pm so that it's in the sentbox?

I know I must be very dumb, but this is pretty new to me.
Thanks to anyone in advance for an answer Smile

It's not a dumb question at all. I didn't get the way that worked at first either.

If a message is in your outbox it just means that the person you sent it to hasn't looked at it yet. Once they open it, it will show in your sentbox.

Until they open it you can still edit or delete it, but it is sent.

So would your editing/deleting it affect the sent version at all? For example, if you sent a message and decided it wasn't the best idea, can deleting it prevent the other person from seeing it? The "outbox" thing was confusing to me for the longest time, but I've already figured that out. The only question I have left is the one above.

If you delete it before they open it then it will be gone and they won't see it. If you edit it before they open it they will see the edited version and not the original, so you can do pretty much whatever you want with your message until the recipient reads it.
