Hey, don't forget Super Channel's Monday-night lineup.
It even made front-page news on this site! |

Cartoon Network did a last minute schedule change and opted to show the Naruto movie tomorrow instead of their usual Toonami lineup. Even says so on Viz's official Naruto page.

Because it's sweeps month, probably.

It says "back by popular demand" on the Viz website. Who demanded to see that again, instead of new episodes?! |

This would have had many benefits; The forest creatures wouldn't miss out on anything new that week. The extra page hits generated by such an infamous column would have been enough to prevent the cutbacks that cost him his job. The Club-Footed Columnist would have become rich and famous and could finally afford surgery on his foot. Everyone would be happy! Until a pandemic reached the outskirts of the forest.... |

I e-mailed him about the Superchannel lineup last weekend before vacation C/O the editor, so it's likely he hasn't seen the e-mail yet either because he didn't read his e-mail yet or the editor didn't forward it. But that may have been what tipped off the editor about it. I'm sure we'll see something next week.

Damn it. One Piece isn't on, either, is it?
Oh, and I love the episode titles. |

Nope, no new One Piece this week....or next week.
Next week One Piece will be preempted by the live action Ben 10 movie, so we dont get the new episode till Dec. 1st I believe. |

Heya Brain! Got some news regarding a new Transformers series on Cartoon Network in the US, on December 26(At 8PM), Cartoon Network will air a "movie"(It is rumored that infact it'll be the first three episodes), intitiled, "Transform and Roll-Out!" of Transformers Animated, while the show doesn't at all look like anime, it is indeed anime, as it's animated by Studio 4C, and Mook DLE. Although it doesn't have a encyclopedia entry yet it is anime!

Uh, that doesn't make it anime any more than all those 1980s U.S. animated productions that happened to be animated in Japan.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the new Transformers cartoon is a U.S. production, not a Japanese one. |

With your logic Afro Samurai wouldn't be anime either than would it? Not to mention many titles that Geneon, and other distributors had financial ties to(although, that is somewhat different than this case). Yes, it is indeed like G1, where the show is Animated in Japan, but written in North America. I can(and do) undersand where you're coming from. It isn't where TomyTakara handles the production of the show while Hasbro just does the international marketing(Which, was the previous 4 Series). In this case, it is headed by a Joint Paternship between Cartoon Network and Hasbro to create Animated. So, I guess it's only an incidental anime, than. Oh well, it's up to Brian anywhos, although I doubt he'll include it as it is not true Anime, but incidental, so to save him time he'll probably not include it.

Yes it would, as it was a Japanese production. |

How exactly was it a Japanese Production? It was funded by Spike TV and/or FUNimation in the USA(And thus funded by Viacom and/or Navarre), and the show doesn't have a Japanese Cast, further proving this point. It is however, based on a Manga from Japan(Every Japanese Production I've seen has had Japanese Voice Actors, this one? Nope). But the Live Action DragonBall movies(Hong Kong, and the Upcoming American One) were based on a Manga from Japan, so that is iffy. It's animated in Japan, just like Transformers: Animated. And Afro Samurai premiered in the US first, just like Transformers:Animated will. So, what exactly makes Afro Samurai Japanese and Transformers: Animated not?

Ergo Proxy
(Fuse) Saturday November 24 12:00am - Episode 23 "Deus Ex Machina" This week on Ergo Proxy: In Canada, Vincent and his companions visit the crumbling ruins of his once hometown. In America, it ends abruptly. Tenjho Tenge (Fuse) Saturday November 24 12:30am - Episode 23 "Binding Spell" Tenjho Tenge is new this week, eliciting both yawns and jeers. Yawns because the sub-par animation and ludicrous story become much more glaring as the series winds down, jeers because there's still some fun violence to be had. Just checked the Fuse.tv schedule and they're showing Rad Girls instead of Ergo Proxy and Tenjho Tenge tonight. Guess I'll have to wait until next week to see how Ergo Proxy ends. |
