The Big Three, as I like to call them: Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece.
Bleach to me is okay, it's not stellar but it's better than other manga I've read. The fights are too much like DBZ for me to really get into. Art is great and the story is not that bad.
Naruto is what I like to call the Harry Potter of Manga, just because it has so many fans. I never could get into it. There are way too many characters to remember and Naruto the character just annoys me.
One Piece is amazing. Tied for second place as my favorite manga along with Jojo's Bizzare Adventure and Shaman King. Rurouni Kenshin is first. The art for OP takes some getting used to but it grows on you. The storylines are awesome and the characters are neat too. Although I wish Luffy was a tad more interesting, he seems like too much of a Goku clone to really stand out. Usopp and Sanji are the best part of the series for me. What are your thoughts?

None of them.
All of these series are pretty much the type of shows I avoid: long, sprawling, shounen stories. They have absolutely nothing that appeals to me about them.

...none of them?
I'm not a big fan of annoying, children-oriented shows with drawn-out stories that seem to never end.

Rofl I think you two are missing the point. Even if you hate all three the point was to pick what you think is the best of the three. Even the author of the thread admitted that they have their faults.
I'm gonna have to admit that I'm pretty much indifferent towards these three as well, if I read/buy them it's just because I've been reading them for quite a while now. With that said I'd say that it'd probably have to pick bleach with one piece as an insanely close tie. I'd rather not get into discussing all the stuff that I've come to dislike about naruto since it's so incredibly typical of those who've become disillusioned with long shounen titles.
One piece on the other hand comes in close second because of one quality that is both it's most redeeming quality and biggest failure: the completely wacky/quirky characters. The interaction between them is amazingly fun at time, but after so much of the same I just can't enjoy it as much as when I first picked it up. Bleach has the same kind of problems but the world that Kubo has created is at least a little bit more enjoyable than one piece's childish pirate world >.>

Hmmmm, if I had to rank them it'd probably go Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach. But that all depends on the story arcs. All three series have their highs and lows, so it's difficult for me to compare them generally.
Overall, I'd say Naruto has been the most fun for me to read over the years. I enjoy the world Kishimoto has created, and the story (while not without its cliches) is very solid. But it's definitely the characters that keep me reading it. Kishimoto has done a great job of maintaining a large, complex web of character relationships yet giving each character their own backstory and importance to the overall plot. I only feel that recently he's begun to add too many new characters, and ignore older ones. Sure, he's killed off a few lately, but I think their needs to be a major cast 'reduction' at some point. He's just juggling too many characters now.
As for One Piece, I love it now but it took a while to grow on me. The earlier arcs didn't grab me much and it wasn't until around Skypiea that I became a huge fan. What I love about One Piece is that there's a great sense of adventure: I love following the Strawhat Pirates as they explore new islands. The characters themselves are fun too, but with the exception of Usopp I don't feel like they're developed much (then again, do they really need character development? They're awesome the way they are). I'm not following the latest chapters, but only because I can't stand reading it a chapter at a time. Especially when there's like, six drawn-out fights going on at the same time.
Only one of these three I really dislike is Bleach. I dunno, the characters never really grabbed me the same way Naruto's and One Piece's did. Plus, I'm kinda sick of these 'spirit-hunting' shonen series (unless they go by the name of Kekkaishi!). The Soul Society arc was okay, but I quickly lost interest after that. In my opinion Kubo Tite failed where Kishimoto suceeded: creating a very very large cast of characters, and giving most of them depth.
Sorry for the long post, but I really do like my shonen.

I happen to collect both the Naruto and Bleach manga. I prefer Naruto to Bleach, preferring the characters from the occasionally idiotic lead (who I don't mind) to Kakashi. I also prefer the storyline, having been put off by the whole Rukia etc story arc dragging on for eternity. Also most of it seems to just be fights followed by travelling to fights, then more fights.
I've never watched or read One piece so it wouldn't be fair to compare. However of the two I have experience with I prefer Naruto. Even with the occasional cheese and the erm 'legacy' of the anime dub I like the story of the boy no one really liked striving to be the best

You can't do that if you haven't read any of them and have absolutely no intention of ever doing so because there is nothing appealing to you about them

Then there's absolutely no reason for you to post in this thread

Why are we picking one anyway? What is the point behind it? Simply to pick one of the 3 titles he lists and then.....what? I'm failing to see the point behind this and WHY he wants us to choose one.

The guys interested in people's opinion on the topic. They're three rather popular titles, it doesn't surprise me that someone might be interested in which people might think is better. And honestly does it matter? I've seen worst threads >.>

The point is to find out what people think of the series and which, if any, is there favorite.

Huh?
I think by "Big Three" you really mean Dragonball, Fist of the North Star and Saint Seiya
or was it Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura and Pretty Cure?
Maybe it was supposed to be Monster, Gantz and Hellsing.
It could be a lot of things ... I don't know.

I have to agree here, there's so many different series in many different genres, though I assume you're talking about what's popular in terms of shonen right now. Thing is though that's only Shonen Jump titles we're talking about here. You forget Ippo, Kyo, Dakkanya, and many others from other magazines.
