What do you think of recent title announcements from Tokyopop? Namely, Marmalade boy anime, GTO anime (is this still an unfounded rumor?), and a variety of manga that will do very well here (love hina, cowboy bebop).

Does anyone else see a small company trying perhaps to bite off more than they can chew? I for one hope that not only do they release all of marmalade boy, but they make tons of money off of it and produce a problem fans are happy about. I think they can; their miyu releases have been good.

Obvious concerns are that they can get half way through, and lose so much money (it is an old show with sub-par animation (for todays standards) and a limited appeal) that they stop or even worse that they go under. If they do well this will tell other people that those great old fan favorites can be cash cows.

Oh well post your opinions below ^_^

GTO anime is NOT a rumor. I've seen the dub, and a review will be posted on my site in a few weeks.

It's good that Tokyo Pop is licensing a lot of titles, but I hope they don't get backlogged with their titles.

I can confirm this as well. Tokyopop has sent out screeners of the Dub.
