Hey,
I'm a huge fan of the Naruto manga, and I was wondering if anyone knew who bought the licensing rights for the Naruto anime. If anyone can share some information with me on this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Why? I don't know much about the show, but based on what people have said about it, they would utterly ravage it and leave a retarded mass of the calibre of Nelvana's Cardcaptors or DiC's Sailor Moon.
And you know how 4Kids is...if they license a show, there's a 90% chance it'll NEVER have a Japanese-language, uncensored release in the US.
Anyway, Naruto is clearly a very popular franchise, so I'm sure many of the more big-time anime licensing companies (Viz, Bandai, ADV, Pioneer) are just pawing at the gates for it. And it'd be better that someone who would give us the show in its unabridged entirety have the rights to it than a company who's sole mission is to make programming for preschoolers (4Kids, of course).

Are you crazy!? Naruto isn't a kids show. It's FAR from it. I say keep 4Kids and Richard Cox away from Naruto.

If 4Kids had it, they must of been smoking crack and missed the demonic and dark nature of the show. The first part, up to where the first mission takes place is fun and humorous, while afterwards it gets very heavy and serious dealing with ninjas and battles to the death. There is a lot of death, a fair amount of blood, and several demonic plots, with people pledging themselves to them for power.
It still only at the level of Kenshin, but the REAL Kenshin, where death is common among foes.

It would be scary if 4kids or Fox got the license for naruto(shudders at the thought). I would want Viz,Bandai,or ADV to have it AFTER all the espisodes/movies are showed.

Yeah, heh, I wouldn't want what happened to Escaflowne to happen to naruto. Hell no, I'll lead a suicide bombing on the Fox network lol.
