I used to watch this cartoon a few years back it was dubbed in chinese but the theme tune stayed in Japanese i dont know the name but im hoping one of you do anyway i'll try to describe it
It starts off when a kid is messing around and falls into a cave or something and sees this massive glowing orb so he enters it and finds that he's now in control of a giant robot, the red orb is in the robots chest kinda like a heart. He soon finds out there are other people (Mostly evil) part of some organisation that also have similar robots and he manages to defeat the first guy he meets with a blast emitting from the red orb in its chest but that was out of anger so he couldnt control it, aparently each robot has a simbiotic relationship with its user so it reacts to the users emotions also the robots are like living creatures even tho they are metalic they can heal over time and they can eat (Mostly rocks..) things too anyway soon the boy and his robot meet other people and form a group and one of them is a girl who is part of that secret organisation but pretents to be good so she can kill the kid but she developes feelings for the kid and so she cant do it. Also the kid finds a sword for the robot in which he developes a signiture animation for drawing the sword which is when he slams the sword with its cover into the ground so that the cover is jammed into the ground then he pulls the sword out while the cover stays jammed in the ground. In the later seaons the kids robot gets wraped in a cocoon and when it breaks out if it it has changed (Added bits of gold and blue) and became more powerful. Please if anyone knows the name or if they need more info just ask i really wanna find out what its called or where to get it Sorry for any spelling mistakes as i wrote this all in one go non stop *EDIT* If you can get me a picture of any of the robots or characters I'll tell you if its the one **EDIT** Its not set on earth cant remeber properly but i think the people of earth had to blast off into space in a giant ship to go to a new planet but the ship got screwed half way in space so they had to escape pod to the nearest planet which is where the kid found the robot |

I can probably ID this with a bit more info. You seem to remember it vivdly so this should be easy. First can you give me an idea of when you saw this, 80s, 90s, or even something more specific?
What I really need is a more detailed description of the main robot, stuff like body details, designs, what his head looked like, colors, and other stuff like transformation and upgrade specifics. If you can dot he same for other robots in the series then that could help too. Emerje |

Woo hoo someone answered anyway because i watched it so much i used to draw alot of pictures so ill try to scan 1 in if i can still draw it
Ok i saw it about 5-7 years ago on some chinese channel, I live in the UK so we had to pay for it and the dish and everything ect The main robot has a green mark under each eye, you know those jungle warefare people usually have a black face paint mark under each eye well it was like that but green and embossed so it sorta sticks out. Had some sorta triangular cap thing sticking out of his fore head area which is part of his head gear and usually covers his eyes unless he looks up then you can see the eyes, little yellow circle on triangle piece he had two horn/wing things on each side of his head also part of the head gear. Has a big red sphere embeded in his chest which is where the user enters also where the beam fires from. He has a sword which he holsters horizontally instead of the normal vertical (e.g blade) He had some kinda skirt covering his waist/thigh area with something coming down the centre to cover the erm.."Private" area which i dont think robots have but anyway think of armour sorta skirts not the womens one. The shin and areas below are quite large and gets bigger towards the feet like the gundam characters and most other anime droids. Also has bracelets on each arm that come down and over the hands like a gauntlet when desired, this is to act like knuckle dusters increasing the damage, again this is done on rare occasions so show he's really angry (you know the usual get angry increase power stuff) In the later seasons the evil guy gets a prototype new robot that has a new design where the red globe is hidden away and incased in armour because in the show there has been situations where the oponent trusts his weapon into the globe there fore injuring if not killing the user rendering the robot useless, and someone on the show mentioned that if these robots neck area gets damaged it cant be healed and they will kinda like die or something. The prototype robot is black with white vien like lines running through everywhere and the head has two horns. Some other bad guy has a orange/red-ish robot which i think translating the name myself becomes "Flesh-water bot" Where "bot" is just what i made up cus each robots name ends with a word that is suppose to mean robot or something...ok you know digimon? every digimon ends with mon? agumon blah blah mon? well its kinda like that but with something that is closer to bot or droid. Ok ok this is a 10min drawing but heres what i came up with, Its the version BEFORE the transformation ie this is the original robot
haven't drawn this in 6 years but i think i got most of it right part from the neck area and the legs are a bit too short

Ok Ok i looked at the picture and i thought...something just aint right so i drew another one and enhanced it in flash which i think looks better

looks sorta like that eska flonay show "spelt wrong bbecause i am only 16 so i am still bad at wrighting" corse any way my knowlage is thin but thats the only thing i can think of. Come to think of it it also looks sorta like something from the old transformers show but.. that just shows how mutch i know lol

Can you get a few pics from the eska thingy show?
Also forgot to mention inside the control orb of the robots which opens by spining around 180 are two smaller orbs on which the user puts his hands into (One hand in each orb) which starts glowing bright colours which reflect the mood so if everything is calm then its like blue but if they're in a tense battle or something then its red-ish P.S Im 16 aswell Last edited by geforce209ad on Tue Oct 14, 2003 6:44 pm; edited 1 time in total |

it looks similar to the guymelefs from Vision of Escaflowne, but not. and the storyline as presented is definitely not Escaflowne (which is one of my favorite shows). i'm afraid i don't know what show you're talking about, though. but the mech does look kinda familiar

Dude. Being 16 is not an excuse for not being able to write, and certainly not an excuse for spelling at a 5th grade level. I presume you're in high school, and have thus been through quite a few years of publik skooling. Make an effort to spell at the level of your peers, or let us know if you do not attend an English-speaking school or your posts will be deleted. |

No need to make fun of my spelling I already know that it sucks and yes I am in high school and I do good in my English class's it's just my spelling that sucks ok pleas understand that I am not the best speller in the world and it was just today that I didn’t use MS word because I was using a old laptop that all it had was like paint and the internet oh and notepad.
Ok as for that information you gave us I know I have seen it I know I have but I have watched lot's of anime in my life is it possibly better man? |
