I enjoyed the first episode of Remi today. It was pretty good, except for the fact that the last 5 or so minutes didn't have subtitles. So I'm a little confused about exactly what happened at the end. What I got from my extremely limited Japanese knowledge is that His father didn't know who Remi was or something (Or at least, it's a good assumption judging from the series description.)

Yeah, sorry about that. Technical fault on our end. We have it fixed now, subsequent airings should be correct.

jsevakis: Question. I noticed the running times for the dvds of said shows at AOD, but I wanted to know how many eps per disc we can expect.
Anyway, why are they airing so early and late when people can't catch 'em?

Orguss and Cat's Eye are 4-5 episodes per disc. Remi is 6-7. They're meant to be at a getting-ready-for-work timeslot on the East Coast (7:30 am). Unfortunately we only have a single feed.
Besides, doesn't everyone have a PVR these days?

Volumes 1 and 2 of Cat's EYe have 5 episodes, Remi has 6 while Orguss 1 have 4 according to the TRSI time lengths. That's 30 episodes for less than 4 BVUSA episodes.
Thankfully the IA times are synced up with my PVR these days. I remember missing a good 5 minutes of shows back when Figure 17 were airing. I ended up buying the DVDs after the third episode since it was so good. I just bought the first two DVDs for all three shows at TRSI so might not watch the broadcasts. There have been other technical issues with IATV. I believe one episode of Ueki had the audio way off sync but overall they have improved compared to when they used to have the second half of a Patlabor episode replaced with the station eyecatch /slate. Doesn't really matter too much in the long run since I've ended up buying almost everything aired on IATV besides Space Pirate Mito and sadly enough Kurogane Communication.
Justin, Is IATV even making a profit of off the TMS releases? I would love to see the final units sold since the projected numbers were low enough to warrant DVD-R. I'd like to think that the initial sales would be enough to cover the first small press pf standard DVDs which I think would have a lower per unit cost if you hit the minimum number of copies.
PS make sure to check out Justin's interview at rightstuf.com where they are also selling the TMS DVDs.

Hi, I have the entire series in spanish, luckly it was officially released in mexico this year. Well what happens is: At first he doesn't recognize remi but the Step-Father just came back from abroad and is totally broke, he has no money to buy food and on top of that his wife kept Remi, so when he sees that Remi is still home he's furious.
I love the series, its a classic. It was broadcasted in Latin America in the 80's so I grew up watching Remi, and I did cry a few times. Hope you keep watching all 51 Episodes!
peace
