I wonder if Bandai's sales of HCB was good enough to have them possibly license this. I love Hayate, and I need to catch up with the anime soon too. Bring it on!

hopefully it will be far better than the 2nd series was basically took the first series and for the most part, pretended it didn't happen. and also wasnt anywhere near as funny. hayate 1 is one of my favorite comedy anime so hopefully....

Does anyone know if Manglobe is animating the 3rd series, as well? I really dislike manglobe's character designs for the movie, by looking at the site, compared to those of SynergySP and J.C. Staff's (which mostly retained the designs of SynergySP, with a slightly different colouration).

It depends on what they decide to adapt, but honestly it will probably be not very much like either of the first two seasons. The manga starts changing quite a bit soon after where the second season ended. (And really, Season Two didn't so much follow the First Season as overlap with it. It's basically all the longer arcs the First Season skipped.)
Don't I wish. I like the post time skip ZKC manga 10x more then the beginning, and I liked the beginning. It's seriously one of the best series no one has ever read. I have no idea if the OVA made it's sales targets or not, but here's hoping... |

Great to see this show's coming back. Out of all the anime comedies I've seen this is the only one that keeps me laughing every time I rewatch it. ("Sgt. Frog" does that to me, too, but only the English dub, so not sure if that counts.)

Thank you for agreeing! Yeah, the time skip arc made me realize I love te series 100 times more. I've been waiting for years for them to announce the next season. There should soon be enough volumes out to get another year started. |
