Wait, that actually happens? I always thought that the whole 'idol in middle/high school' thing in bad anime was just an exaggeration. That's...really creepy.

Fixed it for you.
I do not see being an idol in middle or high school as creepy. Sometimes you have to start young.

She has an adorable voice. I loved her work in School Rumble and Kamichu!
It seems she hasn't been getting stable work though. Ah, I guess she is in Cat God this season. Nevermind.

@Melanchthon Aya Hirano was 14 when she was one of the leads in Kiddy Grade, and had started earlier (I think Tenshi no Shippo was her first anime role). Yes.. according to Wikipedia she joined Spacecraft at 11, through their "Tokyo Child Theatrical Group". Wikipedia doesn't have much on Mako.
I do have to wonder if there is a connection or just coincidence.
