Here's a condensed version of that lecture courtesy of yours truly:

1. Buy a lot of manga.
2. Put it on yourshelf.
3. Repeat from step one Laughing .

OK, I'm kidding of course Smile . It sounds like an interesting lecture.

Perhaps not the type of collection you might be thinking of... Looks like this class is focused toward librarians who work in collection development of their libraries. Such librarians would need that overview in order to determine what place manga would hold in their libraries' collections, etc.

I've noticed that manga/graphic novels have become a 'hot topic' on the various library listservs I belong to (I'm currently working towards my Master's in Library Science.)
