Spoilers
Since I have already watched all the .hack//Liminality anime series, I noticed there are lots of scenes that I don't quite understand at all.
In Vol.1:, I see Junichiro Tokuoka getting beaten up by the blacksuit guys, but for what? That scene did not make any damn sense. Also, at the scene where Mai and Tokuoka were playing The World, I don't recall what happened to Tokuoka as he conitnues to use the controller while Mai destroys the program. It is also unusual that Tokuoka woke up at the time.
In Vol.2: I noticed that Yuki Aihara was in some theater and suddenly, everything blacked out. At the time when Yuki met a woman named Asaba, she helps Yuki all those times. However, there was a scene about Asaba mentioning something about acryllic not doing whatever?? Also, at the scene where the fumes starts blowing, as Asaba rips off her long sleeves and used them to protect her hands, Yuki resisted when Asaba tries to go with her, but then, Asaba her. What was that all about?? In the end, the power came back, but how???????
In Vol.3: I don't catch any of what Tokuoka and Tohno were talking about as well as their meeting with Ichiro Sato. I don't any of this anytime at anyday.
In Vol.4: I noticed that Tokuoka and the three girls infiltrate the facility building, but what the hell exactly did they do all that for??? The only I noticed that after they did what they have to do, the girls escape while Tokuoka gets the crap beaten out of my the guards. What was the entire plot about this .hack series? All of the dialogues throughout the time were completely nonsense and very unspecific.
Some full description about the series will help as I have already saw them all and know nothing about what the hell is going on.

Weren't the blacksuit guys working for CC Corp? I'm pretty sure he got beat up (and fired) for pointing out that CC Corp had released the game knowing it could induce comas. As for why Tokuoka didn't go into a coma, maybe Mai managed to stop him before it was too late? If you don't mind me asking, have you played all four of the original .hack games? I watched all of LIMINALITY having only played the first game and ended up really confused. It made a lot more sense the second time through after I had finished all four. If you haven't I'd recommend doing so first, then going back to watch the OVA again.

I think the whole blackout had to do with the infection rate spreading in the World.

It's been a while since I watched it, but from what I remember they were discussing why the world was behaving the way it was as well as its origins.

The OVA's were made to give more background to the games. If you really want to know more about that I'm pretty sure they broke in to back up Kite and BlackRose during their final battle.

Question did you happen to play the videogames? While Liminality is outside of the "World" in still has tie in to events that happen when your playing the game.
