I can't believe the number of votes for what's moe kind of surprised me. I expect that more then likely the winner to be "I don't care for moe personally, but I respect the tastes of others" But it should be interesting to see how many folks are completely against moe.

Moe is far from being my prefered type of character designs, but I'm pretty open minded about character designs so I can tolerate them.

Wheee, I just can't resist stirring up trouble sometimes
Before we get into any debates about the poll itself though, please let me say that I tried to get as wide a variety of responses as possible in there, without having too many. If you're exact feeling aren't reflected in one of the given options, please pick whatever is closest, and then, if you want, expand on your opinion here.
My personal answer to the question is as follows:
I'm not a big fan of the "Moe" genre per se. There are a few moe-esque shows and manga that I've enjoyed because they were good shows, but I've never felt particularly moe about any given character. Good examples of titles I've enjoyed are Azumanga Daioh, Yotsuba&! and of course, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (which isn't really a moe show, but it does have moe-esque elements). I'm also a fan of Jubei: Secret of the lovely Eyepatch., which again isn't generally considered a moe show, but the moe elements are unquestionably there.
That being said, I have nothing against moe, I'm just "not a fan of it" because it's not something that appeals to me in any particular way. I'm not a very big-brotherly type, I've never been impressed with "cute" children, and so on... Objectively, I think that "pure moe" is actually a pretty cool genre, personally I'm just rather indifferent towards it.
My only dislike of the moe genre is when the creators / producers pander to lolicon elements. There's nothing that can be done about fans that will cross moe and lolicon themselves, but I highly disprove of creators / producers that pander to that rather disturbing fetish. (the line between lolicon and pedophilia is very, very vague). There's no need for so much thinly veiled sexual innuendo in moe, and it's a pity that the unfortunately very common pandering has done so much harm to the image of an otherwise innocent genre.
PS: My wife is "moe" for Henrietta of the Gunslinger Girls. Not exactly what you'd think of as a moe title is it?

Yeah, I think loli is a bit wrong if it's handled sexually. I prefer more realistic character designs usually, like Monster, Paranoia Agent, and Cowboy Bebop (more or less). I also like BONES character designs like Eureka Seven and Wolfs Rain.

[Fanboy mode]
(Raising hand) I'm a big fan of her (and all her guns: FN P90, Five seveN, SIG-Sauer P239, Beretta 501 sniper, Walther WA 2000). Cute girls + weapons (heiki musume) = MOE and WIN.
[/Fanboy mode]
By the way, the last poll option was genius.

I thought that the poll had the right amount of choices, there was certainly answers that were extreme right, and also extreme left. And yet at the same time there are certainly answers that are more neutral, and I do love the what's moe answer...certainly made me smile a bit. For an anime website where there have been plenty of moe discussion (used loosely here) I find interesting that most people don't know what it is.

You'd think they were the same seeing as how every time I see Dateline NBC To Catch a predator it seems like every pervert they grab has some sort of hentai or otherwise noted anime porn. And it's going to be scary day when the major media realize what lolicon is and it's going to be a crazy day. You think Jack Thompson mad about Grand Theft Auto? I can't even imagine what it will be like when that happens.

I voted for the "it disturbs me, but whatever" one. I think that when I see the word "moe" I instantly relate it to "lolicon", and probably for the reasons tempest described, so that's why I chose that option. Otherwise, I'm just not a fan of it.

Is it odd for me to like it so much being female? Seems like this is a male thing, which I wouldn't have originally guessed. I have always been drawn to the cute young girls in anime (and cute young boys) in a non-sexual way, yet I had to put I love moe. Overall, I always adore the look.

Nothing wrong with moe when viewed as moe and not loli. That says what I voted for. I would say I am "moe" toward the silent type. Ala Yuki from SHnY and similars ect.

Well Moe had its time in the sun in 2004-2006. Now we're returning to true development for characters and more complex plots and studios seem to be relying far less on moe gimmicks to see their series through the day and sell merchandise. This is also likely a result of Dating-Sim conversions running out of steam. Even the shows I would once have deemed as overly moe are starting to contain something else like Mecha in Xenoglossia or warfare in the upcoming Prism Ark. Me, I voted the never mind moe I'm into loli option. It's up to others to guess whether it was a deliberately spoiled ballot or not.

I voted for "I'm a fan but is distrubing if taken too far".
But "Moe" is such a vague term that it means different things to different people. To some it's about the character design to others it's the relationship of the characters in the story.
I like Gunslinger Girl and Elfen leid, but when you stop to think about them in a less innocent way, they take on an all together nastier out look.

I like moe, but I'm not into lolicon. I find loli quite disgusting. I'm drawn towards cute moe characters only because I generally like the character designs and also because of the overall innocence that tends to surround them. I'm not drawn to them in a sexual way at all. I do like the more realistic looking female characters more, but that doesn't mean I can't like moe also. It's when the line between loli and moe is blurred or even crossed completely, I tend to get disturbed. That being said, you can probably guess how I voted.
