Originally, I was anticipating Rozen Maiden more, but with Geneon aparently deciding that art boxes should be illegal, I'm much more focused on The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
If there's one thing Bandai has proved with the LE versions they are soliciting, it's that they can do some seriously kick-ass extras! Everything looks great and the show itself is fantastic. The cast is pretty much my list of picks from the polls so I'm confident I'll like the dub. On the flip side, I have no idea what the hell Geneon is doing with RM at all. They're movement away from art boxes is frustrating and annoying and their lack of communication with the fans is made all the more glaring by the enormous effort Bandai has made in their marketing of Haruhi. While I like both shows, the positive information coming from Bandai makes it easy for me to salivate over Haruhi while Geneon's silence and recent policy choices make me more worried than anything else about Rozen Maiden. |

Heh, I personally voted for RM. I like Haruhi, but all the pre-release stuff is making me worry less about how it will turn out. That being said, I'm very afraid of how RM will turn out in the dub because of the ~kashiras ~desus ~da was "boku"s and ~unyuus as well as Suigintou's laughter. There's just so much stuff that can't really be translated but are parts of the souls of the characters.

I have basically the same thing as Richard J. Was looking forward to that eozen Maiden but Geneon shot that out of the water and now Haruhi is my main man. Black Lagoon would be a close 2nd though.

Well, I was, until last week, aniticipating Haruhi the most.
With that said, Karin got my vote. And since Geneon apparently decided that art boxes are a go for Karin, that just makes things better. I wasn't sure Karin was ever going to come to America , where-as with Haruhi, it was more of a matter of when. |

My vote goes to Black Lagoon, I can't possibly wait for this one.

I'm looking forward to nearly everything on the list but my vote ended up going to Tsubasa. It was more of a sympathy vote since I knew nothing would stand a chance against Haruhi.

Aw, no one wants Ayakashi to be released? I'm guessing it's more aimed for an older audience.

Without a doubt it's The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The SE verion that I pre-ordered from TRSI a week ago is my most anticipated anime purchase since I bought the uncut Sailor Moon Season 1 and Season R box sets back in 2003. I've seen enough of Rozen Maiden and Karin last year to know that I already liked them, so purchasing the eventual R1 releases was a shoo-in. As for Rozen potentially not getting an artbox, that's a non-issue to me because I don't usually buy artboxes, and wasn't planning on buying one for RM if it does receive one anyway.
On the topic of Haruhi Suzumiya, I'm very curious as to what impact she will make on the American public. Who knows, she might make a bigger impact on America than Daisuke Matsuzaka. |

Rozen Maiden DESU~
If RM weren't there I definitely would've opted for Haruhi though. |

Mushishi should be on the list, that's what I would have voted for. Oh well, without it I vote for Haruhi, all the goodies that are coming with the the Special Limited Edition have really made me more excited than I was about it when it was first announced.

Had to be Haruhi, no question. I was late in watching the show (and to be honest, I haven't actually finished it yet ), but I haven't found myself drawn into a show this much since Gungrave. While Karin and Rozen Maiden do intrigue me, far and away they fall short of Haruhi.
How Bandai treated this show (marketing, polls, extras, etc.) didn't hurt either. |

Although I'm very curious what they are going to do with Haruhi, I'm looking forward to buying the Hare+Guu OAVs

Yeah, I'm very surprised that Mushishi is not on the poll. Neither is Sgt. Frog, Aquarion, The Third, nor Shuffle!. I know that I'm definitely interested in Mushishi from what I've been reading about the series, and I probably would've voted for that instead of Melancholy. |

I have to agree! This is the first time I have been looking forward to a series enough that I am going to pre-order it. There is usually plenty of interesting stuff out there already for me to buy without worrying about pre-orders, but in this case I'm going to make an exception. But aside from Mushishi, I have given in to the Haruhi hype and am really looking forward to it as well. I haven't seen any of it and probably won't go for the limited editions but I think it's quirkiness is going to make it a fun series. |
