According to Takahashi, the entire staff was against the use of CG

He should have listened to his staff.

Yes, agreed. I am not the only fan who will be devistated if this looks significantly different in style from the original VOTOMS.

They gotta make money by updating. As long as it doesn't turn into another Reboot, it should work.

Well, I don't think they mean 3D CG. Most likely computer coloring or cel-shading. I'm just worried that this could be an excuse for laziness.

As long as the style doesn't change, and Chirico is still a rough, muscular guy instead of a waifish slender biseinen, I'll be good.

I imagine the use of CG will be more like the way the mecha in Burst Angel or the Tachikomas in Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex were all 3-D CG models but the characters were still animated traditionally. It's not a bad look if it's done well.

On the DVD set that CPM put out last year, they have a commentary track where Takahashi ruin-, er, 'explains' the OVA sequel. It's a major spoiler though.

Hey CPM, I'd pay good money to see Heretic Saint. Smile

Isn't CPM pretty much dead? They have not released anything this year besides a reissue of Darkside Blues and I think everything from 2006 was repackaged old stuff. I'm a huge Takahashi fan and am more excited about Flag's R1 release at the moment.
