Wow, I didn't even know they were doing this with Best Buy. To have an exclusive run sell like that is rather amazing and I'm sure it'll do extremely well once it gets into other stores since not everyone lives in the vicinity of a Best Buy (the closest one to me is 75 miles away) and it's not available online at this time.

I'm guessing this doesn't include the original Japanese version. -_-;
I've seen Voltron already. Now I want to know what Golion is like. |

Read the news articles at ANN before you start complaining: http://animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=8642 The GoLion DVDs are coming; you just have to be patient. Anyway, this news isn't all that surprising. After all, Voltron was one of those series that helped create the first anime fans in the U.S. and there's a lot of nostalgia value to it. I'll be waiting on those Golion DVDs, though. The dub, while a classic, is a little too cheesy for my taste.

Yeah, I just bought the last copy at my local Best Buy. One of the extras is the Robot Chicken episode that spoofed Voltron. Excellent bonus

Well Grendizer is. I got tired of waiting and decided to remake him myself . Mazinger, Getta Robo even Gaiking have gotten new animation. Grendizer nothing. I've began working on a 20-30 min episode loosely titled "Grendizer Returns". CG mixed with live action. Still building robot but he is coming along enough where I can post some images. Constructive criticisms are welcome. I am doing this for my own amusement and for any Grendizer fans. There sure sem to be quite a few around the world!! Rendering some shots right now. This is a work in progress so lighting and texturing are rough. For that matter so are parts of the model. Never the less I like the "feel" of these sketches and could use some feedback. My aim is to make a Grendizer never before seen in terms of quality and design. .....now if I can just figure out how to upload images here you should be viewing the first shots of Grendizer's Return in about two hours. |
