This is actually a fairly well known problem, the handshake problem. If you have a n people, the number of relationships between them is n(n - 1) / 2. Rearranging the terms, we get n²/2 - n/2. This is quadratic, not exponential.
If we include Rentaro in the calculation, n = 101, so there will be 5,050 possible relationships between the members of Rentaro's harem.

The show is back and just as amazing as ever with the Best Girls, self-aware and 4th wall breaking humor, insane romcom hijinks, great character dynamics, and the best boyfriend of all time in Rentaro.
They really nailed Kurumi's introduction (and kiss).

Mind however that the manga also features several higher order interactions (such as triples, quadruples etc. of girlfriends). If one wants to consider the full extent of the potential of such combinations that gives us a total in the order of 2^N, which is indeed exponential. The manga is a brave attempt to try and prove the well-known but controversial P = NP hypothesis in romantic complexity theory: that problems belonging to the Non-deterministic Polyamorial class can be reduced to ones in the regular Polyamorial one.

This is very wrong, as seen in the previous season, they must look at each other in the eyes.
Also x for source readers, 25 has not had a cameo this season yet, right? We got her right away in season 1 ( I think episode 2), and we already got 3(?) girlfriend cameos This season.

How could anyone NOT ship Karane and Hakari? That drawing of them in the ED is a nice touch from the anime staff <3

it's the third episode and we finally got the obligatory cameo of 25. Now I am happy ( as you can guess 25 is my favorite).

I love how the Harem has grown so much that we're developing more duos (ShizukaxNano, KaranexKurumi, etc.) and how so many episode segments can be summed up as "_____ has Kusuri make a drug that effects the entire Harem."
Sumippe must be having the time of her life voicing Hahari.
What other Harem show can attest to turning the entire Harem into babies and having the two tsundere tsukkomi's of the Harem suck on the tits of the big-boobed member of the Harem?
Hakarane still going strong.
Meido! The 8th girlfriend! Cleverly hidden in all marketing material and now here in all her rainbow-eyed glory! And as a Suzuko Mimori fan, I'm doubly pleased! And as with all characters she is the most absurd peak of her archetype as a maid. But can Rentaro get through to her obsessive sense of duty so they can truly love each other?

Hey wait a minute, this is just the sum of all numbers from 1 to n-1!
Everyone wants to make a big deal about localization when it's stuff they don't like, but then someone puts slang like "mommy milkers" on screen and no one even bats an eyelash.
(Mind, I only mildly react to any slang and usually positively, unless it involves the word "poggers" which makes my old man body physically ill.)

I sort of forgot about the fourth wall stuff, but I appreciated its use as an excuse to briefly reintroduce the cast. Flat out acknowledging that it was over a year between seasons was pretty clever.

Actually did get a good chuckle out of the series of jokes about getting a character who always has his/her eyes closed to open them. And I did appreciate the "fetch" routine going on in the background. Otherwise this season so far has mostly felt like it's just cycling through relatively common harem comedy gimmicks.

Naturally, as the series progresses, it grows both in breadth and depth—like a slowly evolving, complex organism. The older girlfriends continue to develop, gaining new quirks and dynamics with one another, while the newer girlfriends often come with less conventional gimmicks, combining various unexpected traits.
Since the series isn’t rushing to reach 100 girlfriends and prioritizes giving everyone sufficient screentime, it’s deliberately designed to be a long journey. The writer and illustrator are really committed to making their work harder rather than compromising the quality of the story—and with the manga still going strong, it’s truly impressive and deserving of respect
The anime should cover up to chapter 50, introducing 11 girlfriends as we see in OP/ED, while the manga, currently at 203 chapters, has introduced 31 girlfriends so far. The rate of introducing new girlfriends slowed down a while ago, allowing the series to explore their existing cast more.
