Goes to show that doing the minimum fanservice will keep the fans happy. Not sure why other movies based off games are so afraid to pull from the source material. I don’t think I would have enjoyed the movie as much as I did if it didn’t have Live and Learn.

Off topic: I’m surprised Mufasa actually did better with fewer theaters. And as much I enjoyed it I’m also surprised how successful Nosferatu has been. Vampire thirst is still going strong since the Twilight days.

I loved the movie. Very happy for Sonic even though I wasn't always a fan.

Mufasa came out in more theaters than Sonic 3, it had a lower theater average as well. That all said, Mufasa is going to make decent money since it's week over week drop rate is going to be less than Sonic 3's and it seems to have a larger international distribution as well.

Because it’s one thing you pull something from a source that people remember and understand. It’s another thing when you’re pulling obscure stuff that only the hardest of the hardcore would remember.
