I might just check this out for no other reason than to get some mileage out of my Hidive subscription.

I'm pretty sure that's the only reason anyone watches anything on HiDive.

They got some really great stuff this season, best season in a while for them (without sequels).

I wish their subtitles weren't still harmful to my eyes. What anime do you recommend on there this season?

“Flower and Asura”looks good if you’re into slice of life, there’s also “From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dads been reincarnated” which seems like it’ll be a fun watch. If you’re into ecchii there also streaming “I’m living with an Otaku Neet Konuichi” and “Beheneko the elf-girls cat is secretly an S-ranked monster”.

I like them for picking up some of the smaller and lowkey shows like Jellyfish Swim at Night and Insomniacs After School. They do license a lot of ecchi (I’m sure it pays the bills), but they have some real treasures in their library. They still release some cool new stuff that gets overlooked by other companies.

Those two, Dangers In My Heart, Made in Abyss, Oshi No Ko, and the loads of old ADV and rescued content are great. Honestly, if they'd just fix their subtitles and improve their dubs, it'd be a fine alternative to Crunchyroll for anyone looking for something different.

I agree with all of this, Hidive has its issues but I love their catalog as they have a lot of niche anime with some hidden gems.

Yes, they are kawaii but the character designs from the OVA were better IMO.
