Despite the many issues in our judicial system I think they should have a solid case. The information I’ve seen on how sex crimes are handled in Japan’s courts is pretty sad, but I hope the victims get the support they deserve.

I hope the victims get the justice and compensation that they deserve.

Considering THIS is the U.S. we are talking about, the whole case is not going to go well to the remainings of Johnny & Associates. Americans don't play when child sex abuse is involved on any way. |

Makes me wonder if we will see any lawsuit against Johnny's coming out of Europe. I'm only aware of one former Johnny's tarento, Marius Yo (a former member of the boy band, Sexy Zone aka Timelesz) was born and raised in Europe particularly Germany. I don't know of any other Johnny's members or trainees that were born/raised and from Europe. But seeing this lawsuit coming out of Nevada, it does make me wonder if we could see something like this in Europe. If it does ever happen, this saga is going to get a lot more revelation. |

If the ones who are being sued are Japanese citizens, living in Japan, I wouldn't hope for much; unless Johnny's has a U.S. division. Any money awarded would have to be from U.S. assets.

Johnny Kitagawa is relatively small fry with a typical juror or judge in the USA not likely to have heard of him or his agency. Not big enough to have a prosecution squashed (Franklin child prostitution ring allegations) or be found "innocent by reason of celebrity" (jurors have too much cognitive dissonance to deliver a guilty or financially liable verdict). |

I assume the case was filed in Nevada due to the incident in question having taken place there, so unless something comes to light that actually took place in Europe I wouldn't expect any lawsuits filed there. |

That's what I'm hoping for. An incident in Europe that Johnny Kitagawa may have done or gotten involved to one of the former idol/tarento or even a former trainee (assuming they're still alive or are competent enough). I'm hoping the Nevada lawsuit could lead to a former idol or trainee from Europe to file a lawsuit in that continent in a similar manner. If it does happen, I hope it would be worthy enough for Netflix to create a documentary based on the whole thing alongside that BBC report that broke the scandal wide open. I hope the creator or producer of Dirty Pop can create a Netflix documentary on the Johnny's sexual abuse scandal in the near future. |

Some thing to keep in mind. The molester in chief is dead. So far there hasn't been any indication of criminal charges against anyone else for either molesting or facilitating. What is left is a simple scramble for money. Reportedly Johnny did molest a horrifying number of young boys. As a result we should see claimants coming out of the woodwork for some time now. It will be interesting to see if the separation into two companies will be sufficient to save some of the assets left behind.

That's what I'm also hoping this lawsuit will lead to, revealing the criminal accessories to Johnny Kitagawa. Even though Johnny is dead, that doesn't mean he had accomplices and someone who aided and abetted his sexual abuses toward the idols and trainees. That's why I'm hoping the lawsuit in Nevada could lead to other type of lawsuits in other countries or continents. |
