It does feel visually somewhat different from season 1, but still looks pretty good (thank you poor overworked MAPPA animators).
Also of course they had to include the scene of Denji and Beam.

Thank the Lord it looks more colorful. I hated the dull, muted colors of the 1st season.

Hopefully this does well and we can get a second season.
Be nice if the BD came out too by then...

That was absolutely glorious. I seriously can't wait to see this arc animated, I almost screamed when they showed the SHARKNADO scene, this is looking insane.
I loved season one with its realistic, cinematic style, but it's undeniable that this rougher, Look Back-like style is amazing and closer to Fujimoto's trait.

Is this taking off from where the anime ended? I haven't read the manga because I don't have money so I'm not sure about the arcs

Yes, it's a direct sequel that adapts the next arc.

I loved the style and direction of Season 1. I'm disappointed the director isn't returning, but the trailer shows that the new staff seem to have found a good compromise between S1's realism and a more colorful palette that doesn't depart too much, but I'll miss the old shading and detail. That said, I think the wilder colors and looser animation will help when the enemies get wilder and the story starts to go to more surreal territory.
I wish this trailer wasn't giving so much away to anime-onlys, they should have held back on hinting at certain things for better enjoyment.
I am disappointed that Season 1 wasn't longer, as ideally it should've been longer and ended on this arc as it punctuates a lot of Denji's development and story, as well as Aki's that would've really resonated with viewers and everything introduced since episode 1.
