I'm honestly impressed with the designs, I'm looking forward to all the neat toys! Sentai has been on a real roll lately, this show promises to be a ton ofn. Also, first female Black member! I just hope the robots are a bit cooler than Boonboomger. All the love to my boy Bundorio Bunderas, but the Boonboomger Robo toy kinda didn't do anything for me.

A lot of people down on Akiko Inoue being head writer, but I want to believe she wasn't the one responsible for Gotchard being a trainwreck since she didn't join until it was almost halfway done. But with her on board I do hope this Black is the second coming of Gai (Inu Brother wasn't enough).

Congrats to Akiko Inoue for headlining her first tokusatsu show just like her dad! Curious to see what she's like in the drivers seat by comparison.
Also kind of interesting premise with the "team" competing with each other and it sounds like they'll be fighting monsters and people using the power of specific Sentai teams' Red Rangers.
I do miss when we had two women on the team.

Heck, she wrote some of the actual solid Gotchard episodes.

This is a surprise. Fans were not expecting this to be the 50th anniversary season because it's actually the 49th season of Super Sentai.
However, it is the 50th sentai team, because one season (Lupinranger VS Pataranger) had two teams. And 2025 will mark 50 years since the start of the franchise (the years do not match the season count because the first season lasted two years.)
So there's multiple ways to count when the 50th anniversary happens. However, in past years they always marked anniversaries based on the season number, ignoring other factors. So this is a bit of a change in policy, and caught fans a little off guard.
This does make me wonder if they'll try for another celebration in 2026, when the actual 50th season happens.

Agreed. It let's them split the personality traits between two characters rather than just one character being the designated "girl" All my favorite sentai girls come from series with at least 2 females. Although I did like Oni Sister a lot.
Gozyu Wolf's design reminds me a lot of Kamen Rider Geats. The robots look cool and remind me of Magiranger.

I don't think they would. The whole official numbering on Super Sentai can feel awkward to me.

Notably the red rangers are numbered in reverse order, with the first red being 50 and then counting down to 1.
AkaRed to appear? I think he was in the 30th, 35th and 40th anniversary's but only a background cameo in the 45th.

Ninja Blue had wolf themed mecha, then there's GaoSilver, GekiViolet, ZyuOh The World was 1/3 wolf, and finally Okami Blue.

I do prefer teams with two girls but King Ohger literally ended this year and it had two, it's not like they gave up on it. Also Donbrothers had Sononi as basically becoming the 2nd girl later on, so they could pull off something similar here.

If AkaRed were to show up, they'd have to recast him. Furuya Toru is pretty much gone. There's another coincidence, Gokai Silver's mecha was GoZyuJin. If his actor hadn't also gotten involved in his own scandal, this would have clinched an appearance for him in this, or at least it would have been addressed, but we may not know til it goes.

They really never should have sold those as DX toys, they were too simple and plain. The previous DX lines were super cool, I bought almost everything they produced aside from repaints, they were big and had decent articulation compared to previous Sentai bots, but Boonboomger was just stiff and only real gimmick was swapping cars around.
These new designs look really cool and I hope the toys are fun and well articulated.

The problem was with the move to more articulated figures they didn't do as well with kids because they were more fiddly and harder to play with. As someone who loves King Ohger's aesthetic and got all the mechs it was downright fiddly and not great to mess with especially the legs supporting the rest of the robot so I can totally see kids not liking it and they they backtracked with Boonboomger toys. I'm fine with that myself.
The DX Robo Universe subline is meant to be the new articulated Sentai toy line with the more modular pieces. I did like the full action subline they did with Kyoryuger and I hope we get a Pteragordon and Plezuon but I'm not sure if they're continuing that. Boonboomger's line still had some articulation and the only toyline I never finished was Zyuohger just because it was literal bricks and the combined mode was just awful. Zyuohger really would benefit from a DX Robo Universe release.
