If he's only going to start drawing it soon, then seems like it will probably be a while before anything is published, right? Oku's manga typically have a long lead time because of all the rendering work of the 3D models for the backgrounds, etc.

I really can't see it happening but i'd like to see Gigant in anime, anyway just hoping this new work will also be on a seinen magazine with no holds barred.

They would probably have to make it a many parts anime with long breaks but let's hope the current trend of remake will last long enough for that to happens.

Oku claimed he did it with the gloves off, not worrying about adaptations, but…Netflix.

If someone adapts Oku’s ode to movies and his own kink, it would have to be Netflix.

Oku has only been published in Seinen mags despite having been published by all of the big 3. Why would anyone hold out hope that he chooses to go Seinen next? He will.

Oku is overall a net negative. Gigant was his worst manga since Hen and one of the worst works of the 2010s by a major publisher. His co-production Gantz: E is also an ok at best member berry festival. So things can only look up from here... maybe. He is an easy mangaka to skip if he shits the bed again but it would be hilarious if he leaned into his right-wing tendencies even more though. What a nutcase.
