I'm quite surprised at Romancing Saga 2 remake's sales, its combined numbers (114,891) are bigger than Metaphor ReFantazio (108,212), Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance (56,865) and Visions of Mana (40,764), it's only below other JRPGs that debuted this year like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (262,656) and Persona 3 Reload (116,392). Seeing how relatively well Romancing Saga 2 remake did on Switch I'm sure Visions of Mana and P3 Reload would have done well one Switch if they were released day one there, provided that they could run on the base Switch. Anyway, I'm anxious to see the numbers for Dragon Quest III HD-2D's debut week, I'm pretty confident it's going to be huge.
Speaking about other games, Sonic x Shadow Generations's numbers do not surprise me, Sonic has never been popular in Japan, and while Frontier sold decently, I think there isn't a lot of nostalgia for Generations in Japan. Pretty sure Sonic 3, the movie will flop at the Japanese box-office like Sonic 2 did.
Yakuza: Kiwami's Switch port managed to chart in the Top 30, it managed to sold 2,280 copies, which seems low, but according to Famitsu it sold almost all of its stock which was very limited, though it's not actually a Switch game card, it's a download card.
