This is pretty much the closes I think we'll ever get to a pre-webtoon Korean manhwa getting adapted into anime, since Gosu is (to my knowledge) a next-generation sequel to Yongbi the Invincible, which CPM released a little bit of in English back in the mid-00s.
(Also, no, Shin Angyo Onshi doesn't count, since that ran in a Japanese manga magazine) |

I don’t follow this series, but I did stumble across some news regarding it that ANN seems to have missed. It seems that Studio Mir is coproducing this alongside Toei Animation.
