About time someone picked up The Anemone Feels the Heat! I've heard it's one of better yuri titles found in Manga Time Kirara Forward (and I wish it gets an anime adaptation because it's a Manga Time Kirara title).

That's a good idea! Let's make a mockery of an already niche and underutilized genre and bait its fans into reading a straight harem novel! Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia director) and Naoko Yamada and Ayano Takeda (respectively the ex-director and author of Hibike Euphonium) would be so proud of this! I can already see this as a future Trigger/KyoAni anime! Yuri is just a phase and adolescence, baby!
Frankly, I don't see this as a yuri title, just a yuri-themed het harem title. The synopsis is pretty deceiving and the guy being a yuri fanboy is not an excuse to make this yuri. If this is actually a yuri title, then that's just pretty insulting for yuri. A male protagonist in a story about girls loving girls is a huge slap to the face. Think of Idolmaster being yuri.... except Producer-san is still a male and still the center of the story. Japan really doesn't have a high opinion about yuri.
A lot of yuri fans are not happy with this and they have every right to be. I don't know what the author was thinking when he conceptualized this. It's like he had no idea which audience he wanted to go for and ended up going for both audiences. He should have just made it straight harem instead. Yuri has been getting more support and exposure for many years but mainstream media in Japan still treats it like a fishing tool. How the heck this title even managed to get licensed is a freaking miracle.

For the sake of consistency, the same applies to yaoi fan-girl characters in BL/yaoi being a lead character.
