I must be incredibly [expletive] stupid because I can’t see what’s changed based on the images and the video. Either that or the changes are quite minuscule as to not really make a difference.

If they can afford this, are they still paying translators $80 an episode?

Man, Rahul Purini and Sony Pictures are rushing out to kill Crunchyroll as a place for anime fans and replace it with the image of another streaming site.

I know that companies will do thing like this to keep things like trademarks fresh, but boy does this feel like somebody just turned in their homework after doing it on the bus.

If they're increasing in subscriber numbers then it's unlikely they're doing to die anytime soon.

Oh I didn't say they were, I'm saying Sony is getting rid of the site anime fans once loved to change it to make it look like another streaming platform of the bunch, in order to make it attractive to wider audiences.

As far as the video goes they capitalized Crunchyroll now.

This is even more of an unnecessary change than Verizon’s attempt to ape Netflix’s brand image. Like…this looks almost exactly the same?!?!

Customer service is non existent. While using the app yesterday I noticed new anime had zero episodes available when clicked on. Nothing up under the page. Tried to contacts customer service got a BOT. Tried to get a live person and nothing after 10 minutes of waiting but they sent me a email. I sent a help request and it was delete the app restart the device same issue. They fixed it eventually though. It just shows how little real support exists for the service. It’s sad that some other sites work without the issues.

So they're able to spend money on crap like this, but they're unwilling to spend money on higher quality translations, comment moderation, a better customer service experience, and livable wages. Lovely.

As always w/ monopolies and greed ruining every post 1980s, thank Ronald Reagan. They literally turned off all the comments without warning instead getting actual moderators to delete the problem accounts, posts, & reviews. Comments was the last good thing that Crunchy Roll had & now it’s gone.

Hey CR, can you change the fonts on your subtitles instead?
e: So, is Crunchyroll Atyp is their new subtitle font, or is it just for the manga?
"Crunchier"
This is a true example of the "Hi fellow kids" meme.
