So like some weird remake/reboot/sequel where they recast everybody but Kenjiro Tsuda for some reason?

it is a season 2 despite the name change for the LN they are pretty much the same plot under 2 different names.
i think it was due to change in publisher and licensing rights or something. Either way should be a fun little show to watch. |

For those worried this will just be a reboot with nothing new, don't worry, as characters that exist past the end of the first series are referenced in both the visual and the preview.
I expect the scenes that are a retread of the original story will just be a recap. In the manga, there is a single frame reference to when he first appeared in the world, so perhaps they'll extend it a bit for the anime or even make an "episode 0" recap. |
