Dumb trend. The milking continues.

Watch them turn each movie into a TV season too.

That was literally my thought, too.

Dammit that means I have to pay money at the theaters to watch it. Why couldn’t they just stick to making a 5th season Rolling Eyes!!!?

I predicted exactly this in a previous topic. All combined can make a cool billion without too much worry. And you can make an extended TV cut for the after-market.

Mugen Train is a 2-hour film with a 16-mil budget. Scrap together about 50 million and watch the profit margins explode.

my least favourite aspect of the show is how drawn out the fights can feel, so this is perfect for me. plus, itll look pretty awesome on a movie screen

My guess is once the film has left the box office, as long as it’s successful, they’ll do what they did with Mugen Train and release it as a season.

I think this is the best choice. Demon Slayer rides on hype and flashy animation, so it's the perfect franchise for this approach.

(This comes from someone who didn't read the manga)
As far as I searched, the last arc (Final Battle) has 2 sub-arcs: Infinity Castle and Sunrise Countdown.

The news about the movies only mentions the first arc. Is the arc that long for three movies or do they simply refer to the two arcs as "Infinity Castle"?

So there's no need to watch these movies if an TV season of this will release afterwards?

Final episode of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc aired on Sunday

LAST Sunday. I'm so used to ANN's news saying today's day instead of simply "today", when I saw Sunday I thought I missed an episode today which really confused me... Anime smallmouth + sweatdrop

And yes, there should be no doubt that each of these "movies" will be broken into extended episodes just like all of the previous movies.

Because of how big the series is, and many people would want to watch the final stuff in movie format. It's better for them financially too.

I personally didn't expect it to be a trilogy though since I knew the next arc was the last one, but I figured two movies would be sufficient. I just hope they don't take as long as they did with Heaven's Feel since that was three movies over 3.25 years (not counting the wait time for the first movie to be released). If this takes as long as that I can see a lot of people being angry instead of happy.

The last episode aired today, June 30th. It was delayed a few hours on Crunchyroll but is out as of writing this comment.
