I imagine a number of people are hoping this will focus on a budding relationship between Mirai and Liko, but after Otona (which IMO felt more like it was targeting an audience that was maybe 5 years older and not 15) I'm not holding my breath. But at the very least would like to get adult cure forms after Doremi actually went through the bother.

Now I have an excuse to watch Mahou tsukai in the fall.
Also the logo is SO PRETTY! The colours they chose are splendid.

I mean, unlike Otona, this sequel probably can get away with reusing the old designs without it feeling awkward, because the Cure forms in Mahoutsukai were already magically aged-up... Which was literally never pointed out in the show but the character design notes confirm that it was intentional. Supposedly the 19-year-old Mirai we saw in the penultimate episode was "about the same age as Cure Miracle would have been", so if this sequel picks up around that same general timeframe as Mahoutsukai's epilogue the old designs would fit in just fine.
...Would be incredibly funny if they reuse the old stock footage with zero alterations though. Because then you'd have the characters de-aging only to then immediately age back up again. Part of me kinda wants that to happen just for the sheer absurdity of it.

Excited for this! I participated in a group watch-along for Yes 5 before Power of Hope aired, and I plan to do the same with Mahoutsukai. It is fun to have a reason to go back and check out specific titles in the franchise.
