I feel the same way about Robotech/Macross. The English voices and music are so deeply ingrained in my head that listening to how it actually sounded originally just feels wrong.

The subbed version was locked to a VERY EXPENSIVE collector's edition Blu-ray + DVD. It didn't stream anywhere, neither did the included Speed Racer X. I was wanting to watch SRX, but I'm down to finally giving the original Japanese version of Speed Racer a go.
Oh, and Warner Bros. Discovery now has the television rights, and the English version will air on MeTV Toons starting late June, alongside other Warner cartoons.
EDIT 1: I meant to mention the Funimation SE Blu-ray and DVDs are OOP but still in-stock for now. Once they're OOS, it'll be a bit before Shout! does their own.
EDIT 2: Found out about Weigel licensing cartoons from other companies and that includes Speed Racer. They must've sub-licensed that from Shout!.

As someone in their early 30s and a big fan of Tatsunoko Productions I really wanted to get this subbed, but it being tied to a special edition that was a big tacky head made me not interested at all. Hopefully they'll put this out physically but I'm happy I'll be able to just watch this thanks to Shout.

You can count me as another who would definitely buy an affordable, subbed Mach Go Go Go BD release.

Ditto all of this, except I'm late '30s.
I do have the dubbed version via its DVD singles and the Funi Bluray, though. I really wanted the subtitled version so badly, but just really didn't need a giant yelling head on my shelf.

I wonder if the sub version will give us clues to the true identity of the mysterious Racer X
and whatever happened to Speed's older brother Rex Racer who ran away from home!

Yeah, imagine wanting the version that isn't heavily edited.

All told, what was left out? I know of some violence, but any risque material or notable plot changes, etc.?
