I understand Japan's film industry operate differently from Hollywood. But I just want to remind people that when Godzilla Minus One got released in US theaters, it didn't even got a English dub (yep, it was shown in the US with subtitles) and yet it did so well in the US box office.

But still, I assume that when Godzilla X Kong come out in Japan, the audiences will be given a choice of watching it in either Japanese dub or in the original audio with Japanese subtitles.

That's kind of interesting, here in Latin America, Minus One received a Neutral Spanish dub, though that version only got released in Mexico and Chile and, interestingly, it was the first dub of live-action work made by ArtWorks, a dubbing studio that specializes in anime and that has dubbed works like Attack on Titan, Kemono Jihen, Fairy Tail and Girlfriend, Girlfriend. Another interesting fact is that the character of Kōichi (Ryunosuke Kamiki) from Minus One was dubbed in LA Spanish by Óscar López, who also dubbed the character of Trapper (Dan Stevens) in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

Well, that's how most of the world operates, here in Latin America you can choose between a dubbed or subtitled screening, though most animated kids movies (anime releases generally have more subbed screenings) are dub only. I don't know if the same thing happens in Japan or the rest of the world
