I’m mad that this is on Hulu, I truly think it may impact the anime’s popularity. It’s a good show, and it’s only going to get way better.

It’s been confirmed that Disney Plus will stream it outside the U.S however they have only stated it’s “coming soon” so who knows when, I agree it does suck for those outside of the U.S as it will no doubt impact the popularity, might have been better if CR had streamed this instead.

David Production is going a little more "artsy," than I expected but it's still turning into a really great and exciting adaption, especially with the top tier VA performances.

This is being directed by Yuki Yase, who was also the director of Fire Force's 1st season, and who spent the vast major part of his career working at Shaft. This is pretty much a Shaft show in disguise, same as Fire Force was.

Honestly gropey stuff never really bothered me, simply because it played in different tone and not even sexual tone, last two episodes showed it. Particularly scene in episode 2 where Fuuko was feeling to have sex with Andy to at least give him something before he gets locked and experimented was treated seriously and with sad music, him refusing and establishing boundaries said it all, there is no genuinely creepy vibes between our male lead, instead we got genuine bond that only will keep growing.
Anyway, all episodes so far were excellent adaptation from DavidPro that legit elevating manga experience, I can't wait for people to see full scope of Undead Unluck, it legit has a lot to offer, things like cool worldbuilding, genuine romance in shounen, creative battle system, unusual plot structure, female character treatment here is one of my favorites amongst the seas of battle shounens I read, this series is a gem that only gets more appreciation with time.

This and One Piece are the only manga I'm currently reading. Fuuko is such a great character, she can hold her own against any male shonen protagonist when it comes to guts and bravery, but she's also quite clever, her power makes her great at thinking outside the box.
About the stars the revelation as to why there are no stars yet Unluck can summon meteors is a game changer. They wont get to it this season, they may not even get to it next season (whenever that is), but it's going to show just how small yet incredibly important they all are. I love this series so much, it really knows how to subvert expectations.

The way Andy told her that he wouldn't have sex with her under the circumstances she was offering just made me hate him more. He's been pressuring her this entire time ignoring what she wants and being gross himself, but as soon as SHE demonstrates some agency about whether she wants to have sex with him, Andy claims it's "vulgar" and demands she not do it again. Honestly this entire aspect seems very poorly considered, and that the creators wanted to have their cake and eat it on a hero who is both comically perverse and somehow still a gentleman, and it doesn't work.

I am guessing it's like Netflix where they'll stream the first half (12 episodes), early next year. Then the remaining 3 months after that. They could still dump a bunch of episodes and catch up weekly.

UxU is one of the "new" series, together with Sakamoto Days or Mission: Yozakura Family that did steer away from the "comedy with action scenes" of the first episodes to "action series with some comedy". From the first chapters in the manga (until the Lake Baikal scene, more or less), it seemed as a fanservice-gag-series. The baddies were a kind of Men in Black organization and Andy & Fûko would've run away all around the world while developing a "will they/ won't they" routine, hence Andy "loose hands" (pun intended).
But the author found that the negator angle was too good to let it go and then Union, the UMAS and Apocalypse, the book, were brought into scene. And suddenly Andy stopped wanting to die.
The only down is that probably the anime won't reach the time travel, fighting God and Fûko becoming an action heroine alone, though.

The thing about Andy is he isn't always serious when he says things and sometimes just says them to get a reaction out of Fuuko. He was never going to rape her or anything like that, and despite everything that's happened he isn't a villain. Heck, there's some debate on just how serious he is about his suicide considering he's more aware of what's happening in the world than anyone. Andy is likely the third oldest being in the universe and knows all of the secrets and threats.

Man, David Production really did Gena arc justice. I'm quite happy they also nailed serious moments, I got quite emotional with her passing. Obviously her words about Rules and Union will be getting context later on, as next episode preview shows we finally getting introduced to the organization. Looking forward to peoples reaction to the stuff revealed there.

They did a really great job here. Not only did it look great but they've been doing such a good job pushing the content without making it feel rushed. I'm impressed they were able to fit the entire battle into the one episode. They managed to fit five chapters of the manga into two episodes which is much faster than I thought they would be going with this series considering how much shonen anime tends to stretch the content. But I guess I shouldn't be too surprised when the OP is already teasing Unmove who debuts in chapter 23 and I wasn't expecting until the second cour. That means we could have 1/8 or even 1/6 of the entire manga covered in just the first cour.

They really killed it with Gena's arc, both animation-wise and performance-wise. Aoi Yuki was a perfect choice to play Gena and all her various character elements and all the flourishes to the fight right up until it's tragic romantic end was stellar.
Can't wait to see the rest of Union animated!

Honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Obviously not every single second will be a looker, because there's no reason to, but none of the episodes so far had anything that can be genuinely considered "rough".

^ I was surprised to read that too. I was even thinking how amazing it all looked while I was watching the episode, and I don't normally even notice that stuff unless it's really bad or really good.

I don't usually do this, but if you're going to call attention to your pun, you can't have a typo. Of course, if it's not a typo, then I don't get the pun.
