Wait so the web novel ends does that mean the light novels are done as well? I am collecting them as they are made for digital sale.

The Japanese light novels are about half-way through the web novel so there's a lot more left to adapt.

The light novels have also added at least two new storylines that wasn't in the web novel and there will likely be more..

Enjoyed season 1 of the anime for the most part. So I hope it has had success in the novel format. I thought they said they would do a season 2 but it has not had a peep in the news as far as I can tell.

Anime was surprisingly enjoyable, but I'm not into the series enough to want to read it in novel form.

It was a fun ride and had an interesting dual protagonist approach to the isekai concept (You could argue that the isekai'd sword charater is the deuteragonist from which we get the point of view as opposed to a 2nd protagonist if you want to consider Fran the only protagonist, but that's a bit nitpicky.) Honestly, it's a pretty long story but it should have been longer... but ah well. It could have wrapped itself up more cleanly but the ending works for the most part.

The manga is currently adapting the 4th light novel, still ongoing.

The 17th light novel is set to release in Japan on March 29th, and is roughly around the half-way point of the web novel, so there's still a lot left to adapt. And that's before you take into account that the light novels have been expanded with additional storylines.

How much did S1 of the anime adapt?
One and a half light novel, ending halfway through the second light novel.

Can't wait for season 2. Really good dub. Voice actors seemed like they were having fun. French necromancer seems interesting.
