One of my favorite light novels gets anime, yay!
I read somewhere the light novel was saved from the axe by how popular it was in the west, but can't remember where so can't verify whether that is accurate or not? |

Quarkboy the president of J-Novel Club said 5 months ago on Reddit that the novel series was very close to being cancelled in Japan, which can be seen by the fact that the last few volumes in Japan became digital only, but good English sales for Ms. Elf helped save it. Honestly the fact that it was so close to being cancelled makes me surprised it’s getting an anime. Maybe the manga is selling very very good. |
