I got to meet Furukawa once for a signing and he was quite nice. He seemed genuinely excited that I brought my copy of Odin, and made a point of having his translator tell me so. I'm glad he got this honor, and congrats to the others too.

Furukawa is my favourite voice actor. I'm glad to hear he's cool! I hope to meet him one day too!

I can second he's a cool guy. I've seen him three separate times at cons and he was a really cool dude every time. Very nice and he's very fun at panels.

I hope you and Matthew get the chance! I brought along my DVD copies of Urusei Yatsura (Anime Eigo's old single release with Ataru on the cover), Odin, Garaga, and DBZ. He seemed happiest about seeing the older stuff I brought, which were out of print for a while at the time so probably uncommon at the signing table. It just amused me greatly how much he liked seeing Odin in particular. One of my favorite interactions with a voice actor, for sure.

He’s probably my favorite, too. I love him as Kai Shiden in Gundam, Asuma Shinohara in Patlabor, Olivier Poplin in LoGH, and others.
