Whether he likes it or not, Makoto will still be dealing with plenty of quirky characters...

What gets me is this anime will cover the output of the manga for the last 3 years. And with 24 episodes very likely go beyond the manga if they do not put in filler, or spend a great deal of time doing flash backs from the skipped content of season 1.

This is because the manga only does 10 chapters a year (once monthly with breaks for volume production and holidays).

Also I highly suspect there will be some controversy or counter controversy with one of the human heroes Tomoki.

There might also be some controversy about spoiler[Makoto straight up not caring about whether or not people are brainwashed by said hero and straight up murdering them despite them being able to be rehabilitated. Season 1 straight up downplays how amoral he really is because how long it takes to get to the reveal he's been faking all his emotions.]

The source is light novel. And there are 18 volumes out.

On that note, the publisher is Alphapolis so we're never going to see the light novels in English, at least not officially...
