WTF?! This is so sudden... one of my favorite composers ever.... I have no words. His soundtrack for Konohana Kitan was so beautiful. I really hoped he'd get more work for soundtracks

Oh no....such tragic news, he was so young.....i hope that the band doesn't end after this but it would be understandable.

An incredible talent taken far, far too soon.
RIP Kikuchi-san. Thank you for the amazing music you helped deliver.

The band was essentially a duo. As I recall, they pretty much went on hiatus for a year when Kikuchi was involved with a scandal.

Yeah... best we can hope for is riya continues singing as "eufonius" but there likely won't be any new music under the name. Kikuchi was the composer and writer of basically all their music. That said, anyone who is a fan should continue to support riya's solo activities. She's a wonderful person and singer.

I was personally on good terms with Kikuchi-San, and even did some work translating lyrics for him.
Though we didn’t hang out much, he was always extremely kind over social media, frequently commenting and reaching out. He always said we should go drinking. Wish I had taken the time. Heartbroken.

Always appreciated Kikuchi's work, both with Eufonius and solo. Up there for me with other composers like Taku Iwasaki. I hope Kikuchi is at peace and my condolences to his family, friends and associates!
