Expected an announcement but not till next year. Still glad. Haven't read this arc yet but I've heard of it.

Oooh, I wasn't expecting an announcement so soon. Hopefully it feels less uneven than last season. Heard good things about the next arc.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LET'S GO!
I really hope it adapts the end of Volume 16 and gives us the bar none funniest moment in the series. I wonder how much of Volume 15 will get adapted. Probably just the ending stinger, unfortunately. I really hope that J.C. Staff messes with the OP during the GASLIGHT GATEKEEP GIRLBOSS arc.

Yes! I was starting to wonder if a fifth season was going to be made. I would like it to come next year, but I prepared to wait for 2025. And I am guessing a second season for Sword Oratoria is not happening.

Yay! More DanMachi!
Looks like this will be a season heavily focused on Syr. With Freya also making her move.

Man I’ve been dying for a S2 for Sword Oratoria sadly it seems it’s not as popular as the main series.

The rest of Sword Oratoria actually got adapted in full in the Memoria Freese mobile game. Not the same as a new season, but at least it's fully voiced.

The Freya arc is quite big so this is likely getting the 2 cour treatment like with season 4. I only ask that JC do it justice as they did with season 4. I had some issues with the writing of vol 18 which this season will adapt but I can look past it

You can blame the season 1 adaptation for that

Season 5 was expected. It's after it that was questionable due to math (Note: I don't know the content in the volume, just know what is covered each season and how much is available). Since Volume 19 recently released and we don't know if Omori will be consistent by releasing at least 2 volumes per year starting from next year... Those years with no new volume release or just 1 release hurt.

Not a surprise, but still welcome.
I fully agree that a two cour run is likely. The crucial points from novel 15 could probably be summarized in a single episode, maybe even as an episode 0. (For anime-only viewers, this is predominately a collection of flashback short stories interspersed with small snippets of current events.) However, novels 16-18 together are nearly 200 pages longer than novels 12-14, and those got adapted into 23 episodes.
(And as a side comment, novel 18 is finally due out in English next month, so that's a point to cheer about, too.)
