I was just thinking over the weekend that if a new round of Isekai Quartet was ever made, it would have to include The Eminence in Shadow. But this looks like a worthy alternative.
Hopefully someone will put up an English subtitled version soon.

The "to be continued?" at the end does leave me hopeful. Adding them to Isekai Quartet would be a lot of fun, I want to see how Shadow gets along with Tanya's group, I have a feeling they would be butting heads a lot, or at least her squad would be with the girls.
Hopefully we do get some proper subtitles at some point, the translated captions only just barely suffice, but there's a few chunks of dialogue that it couldn't catch.

Well this is a surprise and a treat to watch. If there is a new season of Isekai Quartet? please have Kage-Jitsu in the main cast.

Man, I'd kill for Eminence to hit Isekai Quarter. The wacky cast would make fantastic editions.
Funny to see Albedo and Beta get along while Shalltear and Epsilon seethe. Also Cid!Ainz? pushing the button.

We really need more of this crossover and further Isekai Quarter. If someday, characters from Mynoghra and Majesty's Swarm could be add too for another Halloween crossover, it would be incredible.
( The OxT remix was priceless )

I am not sure if it would work as main cast for 1 reason: Shadow. As his nobody persona it could work, but as the shadow persona he is much too flippant and aggressive. But I could always be proven wrong. The body swap formula allowed for a more organic integration but ainz and shadow did always share the bullshitting formula to their followers.
I imagine Kazuma would rip into his Chuuni posturing and Subaru tends to engage with people as normal folks, not sure he could do anything but pity shadow when shadow couldnt just blast and kill any problem.

I'll definitely check this out, but I just wanted to point out that a lot of people don't seem to understand Cid. He isn't deluded about his grandeur because it is totally deserved. He is exactly as strong as he knows he is, and he is exactly as mysterious as he thinks he is. Yes, he has to work hard to come off that way, but that doesn't make it any less valid. His only delusion is that people are playing along with him, when they are in fact completely serious. And he doesn't know that things are as bad as they really are, so if anything he is quite the optimist about the state of the world. It's not that he's delusional so much as reality happens to have the same facts as what he his imagination is telling him is the way the world should be. If someone sees a man cosplaying a priest, and thinks that they are a real priest, without any contradicting evidence, the worst you could say is he's a little naive, right?

The only truth part there is about Cid's strength, but hell no he is any character that has any type of mystery in him - the dude is nothing but a combo of every possible chuuni quirk except the fact he doesn't have any delusions about the scale of his powers, but he is trying to think he passed the chuunibyou phase (which he not, of course) — and every other character just not even comprehending how quirky he is, which usually comes to his advantage when people misunderstand his very simple intentions (but sometimes bite him in the butt, like the John Smith arc resolve). So no - he's not even trying to be actually mysterious at all outside of how he thinks he is - he's just going all in with the current state of mind.
Really, we're talking about the same Cid who during the vampire invasion goes over and over again repeating the phrase that he heard because he thought it was just too cool, or tried to get rich when he realized it has the very poor security measures against counterfeiting by just copypasting the banknote.

I get everything you're saying, but we may have to agree to disagree here. You mention the vampire lines (LOVE that part) where he repeats the same lines... The thing is, whether he is being sincere or not, whether he is right or not, everything he goes out of his way to do to look cool or mysterious works. He IS mysterious, since the meaning of the word is being a mystery to others, right? He has that nailed. So it is not a delusion, it's real. His strength, his wealth, even his enemies and the people he repeats are all true. He said those lines about the moon and frenzy to inspire the same awe in others that he saw in the vampire hunter chick, and it worked. The only thing he doesn't know is that the cult is real and his followers are genuinely fighting a cult. And again, without direct evidence to the contrary, that just makes him a little naive. I don't expect you to wrap your head around it, and that's fine. We will simply have to disagree about what it means to be deluded
PS - The ladies of Shadow Garden are the ones who are somewhat deluded for thinking he is truly a mastermind. But he himself knows that he isn't, so that is not delusion on his part.

Ehm, are we talking about the very same Cid who's pickpocketing small change coins from (technically) his own vault and looting the treasury while thinking nothing but how to fill his pocket, to the point that his only thoughts during the fight with Elizabeth were filled with nothing but a misery about the gold coins that he just stole crushing into pieces - while having absolutely zero realization that he is completely in control of the most prominent and advanced financial conglomerate of this world that Shadow Garden built up from a scratch, because it's completely missing out from his mind. About what wealth bragging from his own side we're talking about?
Also what kind of enemies we're talking about — considering Cid still yet to even acknowledge by himself that Cult of Diablos is totally 100% real and not some hardcore roleplayers that just simply by pure chance coincidentally aligned with his made-up fictional stuff that he fed up in the past to the girls that became the foundation of Shadow Garden.
Quote: | The ladies of Shadow Garden are the ones who are somewhat deluded for thinking he is truly a mastermind. But he himself knows that he isn't, so that is not delusion on his part. |
And now you completely losing something there. The whole point of mind of Cid from the very beginning is the fact that he wants to be a mastermind and always acts like he's the one when he's playing with his Shadow persona — or to rephrase it in his own words, he always wants to become a "being the power that reigns from the shadows". Even if he does not acknowledge himself as the mastermind behind the Shadow Garden (because of his obliviousness that he's in charge of absolute control of the organization while he's thinking it's nothing but the girls just messing with him out of misery and for the sake of old times when they played with him) — he's always thinking of himself as the serious deal. Heck, he's even going by himself for complete setups to emphasize how "cool" it will look (based on his own opinion) to impress the people to think that he's a mastermind (like completely setting up the whole scene just to impress Beta or bringing the whole friggin piano to the underground room just for the sake of doing the dramatic moment). And considering how Cid acts with his Shadow persona when he's trying to impose to his friends and enemies that he's the deal — it's hard to not be deluded that he's the mastermind all along, let alone when he's doing it while the chances of pure coincidence hit the impossible levels.
Also, Shadow Garden not deluded that he is a mastermind - the only thing that they missing is the simplicity of his intentions and the pure coincidental factor of some of his actions by misinterpreting it all as part of some grand schemes. For the Seven Cid is the leader no matter who he is and they swore a whole life and complete obedience to him (even if Cid completely missed out on this part too while thinking that they grew out of his ideals and abandoned him), and most of them being in mad love for him (or just not have high intelligence to think too much about his actions, like Delta) not helps to the situation at all (heck, some of them it goes to such hardcore cases to the point that they worship him and try to appoint him a god) — while most of Shadow Garden outside of the Seven and a few numbers with whom he interacted barely know who is Cid/Shadow at all in reality and for them, he's the "boss of their bosses" Of course, we're also not touching the fact that Shadow Garden established indoctrination making members not just thinking that Cid is the boss — but actually worship him, essentially also making it a cult of its own.
