Even though the first season's quality wasn't impressive i'm way too much a fan of Mahiru to be sad by this announcement.

First season did give us some payoff, albeit not as much as I wanted. Hopefully this new season will remedy that.

While season one was mostly on the low effort side of wish-fulfillment romcoms, I still enjoyed it so I'll gladly be back. Hopefully it won't be a slideshow this time around.

I tend to think any show that get a sequel announcement a bit after a show but before like a year passes, are series that exceeded expectations in being successful.
This is cause usually when a series has a new season announcement right after it ends, that season was probably already planned. If a show gets a new one between a year to 4 years that is usually cause for an extra source advertisement or was a success in the long term. However series like this getting a new season a few months passed when their first season aired are shows that exceded the expectations so they get the ball rolling fast. Its a good thing as this story was very nice and i loved the development between the main leads and the heart warming nature. So Bravo, looking forward to more of Angel Next Door

That's exciting news! "The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten" anime getting a 2nd season is great for fans.
