Yugo Aosaki's policies for characters: If they are in the public domain, then they are fair game.

So pity that it has only 13 episodes! I hope that they announce season 2 soon after the sales boost up!

Are there enough books for a second season, though? I thought the forth novel only just came out last month.

Maaaan, that “2nd part” misled me hard, thought that meant a 2nd cour was confirmed. Oh well. Loving the show so far.

I haven't read it yet, so I don't know. Hope there is enough material to adapt.

Yeah, but Wikipedia specifies them as novels, not light novels, so maybe there is enough material for two cours?

Judging from the plot summary and some comments on Amazon, this second case is still part of the first novel. Not sure how far they're going, but they're clearly not rushing through the material the way too many adaptions do.

I hope so. It would be great! I like detectives so much!

Considering the number of pages written on Amazon, it's the same as a typical long length LN like TenSura so it might as well be considered as a LN.
I don't know wether they intend to make another season after this one or not but while rare there has been case like the first season of 86 with only 1 volume adapted for the first season ( + one anime original episode ) and the first volume of 86 was even shorter than Undead Girl Murder Farce's so anything is possible.

It's the most underappreciated show of the season for me. Maybe it's doing better in Japan, but it seems unlikely it would get a second season based on how little impact it has had over here.
