Nine years is a LONG time for a manga based on a webnovel to be running. I remember following this one for a decent while before I lost interest -- it was some of my earliest exposure to the pattern of webnovel stories following the templates of fanfic plots, though I didn't even know it was a webnovel adaptation at first.

From what I've heard from 3rd party readers, yes and no.

They covered the gist of the main story, but skipped some novel volumes to get to the end. For example, the manga adaptation skipped spoiler[LN Vol 6 which focuses on Kyle trying to stop a very possible outbreak of civil war in the Galgan Empire due to the sudden death of its heir.]
